Heidi

Heidi, a Cypriot rescue, found her forever home with Janet and Paul Burridge in local Warfield. They lost their last dog Mandy, and also a Pine Ridge rescue, in January after 13 wonderful years, to cancer. Heidi, besides being the spit of Mandy has filled the void.

Janet told us that everyone who meets Heidi just falls in love with her and they could not believe how well she “fitted” into their home and lifestyle. Janet is a dog walker so Heidi has the company of other dogs 5 days a week – the weekends are family times.

The Variety Fun Dog Show – Sunday 21st August 2016

The Variety Fun Dog Show is held in the grounds of Pine Ridge Dog Sanctuary.

This is open to all dogs, Pedigree and crossbreeds alike and will consist of a number of classes such as:

Best Pine Ridge Rescue; Best Condition; Best 6 legs, etc.  It will be held on Sunday 21st August.

Entries from 12pm (£2 per class).  Judging from 1pm.

The event will be judged by Sandra Thompson, MBE.  There will be a Bar-B-Q and Food Bar throughout the event and there is free parking on site.

Any suitable saleable items for the stalls and raffle prizes would be very much appreciated for both events. These can be posted, handed in or brought on the day.

Please do come along and join in the fun and help make it a truly successful day. All funds raised on our function days helps towards the work we do for the dogs in our care.

If we do not get enough support … this will, unfortunately, be the last Pine Ridge Dog Show.

Open Day – Saturday 6th August 12-4pm

Pine Ridge Dog Sanctuary’s Open Day for 2016 is to be held on Saturday 6th August between 12pm and 4pm.

Any suitable saleable items for the stalls and raffle prizes would be very much appreciated.  These can be posted, handed in or brought on the day.

There is free parking in the grounds.

A Bar-B-Q and Food Bar for sandwiches, snacks and beverages will be available throughout the afternoon.

Visitors will be free to visit all the dogs and speak to our manager, Claire, about any orphans that they may wish to give a home to.

We look forward to welcoming as many supporters, friends and their dogs to help make this a memorable occasion.

Bella

Bella went to her forever home with Deborah Webb in June. Deborah says that she has settled in beautifully. Bella, also known as “Her Ladyship”, slept on the bed from day 1 – and now gets under the duvet too! (The UK is much colder than Cyprus).

Deborah also said that our Open Day is a great family (kids and dogs) day out.

Bella

The Byrne family lost Kato and Pippa after 12/13 years. Maria says that she had a special bond with Pippa who would follow her everywhere. Katy was adorable, a little nervous, but loved everyone he met – just wanting petting. Bella – their new dog – they describe as adorable, a very loving little dog who is settling well. She is a quick learner and eager to please.

The picture shows Bella has definitely made herself “at home”!
